DoGA project started in 1985 by university students in Japan, to support
the newly born culture of CG animation.
"CG animation is a efficient way to approach
visual creation and is also a lot of fun.
But the technology is so complex that it needs to be simplified
and be brought down to a reasonable price for everyone."
That was the belief the students had.
While they were creating CG animation of their own. Research and development
of a new CG tool kit began.
